    OTTO's opportunity:

    Our OEM Vendor Managed Inventory Specialist – Communications collaborates with one or more senior OEM account managers to plan and manage the activities that are needed to meet commitments to OEM customers. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of the OEM's supply chain portal(s), including managing the OEM's processes for vendor managed inventory (VMI). Frequently works with customer procurement and product management professionals. Ensures that several sources of bookings, sales, gross margin, and sales territory data are correctly manipulated and entered into reports and SalesForce. Supports the sales managers so they can focus on selling.

    Specifically, the OEM Vendor Managed Inventory Specialist – Communications will :

    • Manages offsite VMI warehouse activity, per customer contract obligations
    • Manages VMI integrity, including publishing aging report and initiating OEM inventory consumption based upon contractual aging agreements. Performs annual inventory reconciliation
    • Monitors and analyzes utilization, product availability, pricing and lead times to prepare models to establish the replenishment frequencies and accurately generates replenishment orders
    • Develops reports to track all metrics and identifies trends or issues that impact inventory levels
    • Expedites and resolves shipping, delivery, ordering, or system issues that may impact expected inventory replenishment targets
    • Actively monitors and supports customer ACH payments against consumption history to facilitate account receivable management
    • Works with OEM Account Management, Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Quality to deliver on commitments to OEM customers and to meet or exceed their expectations
    • Communicates proactively with the OEM regarding supply chain and lead time challenges affecting on-time-delivery performance. Provides options and solutions to drive enhanced customer experience
    • Processes customer orders and issues RMA's as needed, and uses SalesForce to assist sales managers in tracking customer opportunities and prepares quotations
    • Reviews the daily, weekly and monthly Power BI and Excel bookings, sales and gross margin reports for accuracy, and follows up with IT to resolve issues.
    • Prepares the monthly Communications Division Booking Analysis and Sales & Operations and Planning report, and assists the Sales Director as needed
    • Assists with other related duties as required or assigned

    What you'll need to bring to the table:

    • Minimum of 5 years sales support or customer service experience
    • Associate degree is strongly preferred
    • VMI experience strongly preferred
    • Requires excellent project management skills and exceptional attention to detail
    • Requires experience using an ERP system (e.g., Infor Syteline), and must be able to effectively use SalesForce
    • Familiarity with DPAS government rating system desired
    • Contract experience, including working knowledge of terms and conditions is desired
    • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with customers and internal OTTO team members at all levels
    • Basic competency with MS Office is required. A deep and broad understanding of Excel is required
    • Strong oral and written communications skills
