OTTera is the word's leading white glove Over-the-Top (OTT) SaaS company powering more than 3 dozen OTT services and 50+ free, ad-supported linear channels (FAST) used by nearly 100 million users worldwide.
The core team consists of industry veterans, each with over 10 years of experience building, operating, and monetizing OTT and linear services. The OTTera platform provides the widest distribution and technology breadth amongst our competitors in the video space and we pride ourselves in always being on the cutting edge of technology. OTTera was the first company to launch 4K, 360 video, and interactive video worldwide.
OTTera is a rapidly growing startup with over 100% growth every year of operations, including massive growth in 2020 due increased video consumption related to the pandemic, and even greater growth expected in 2021. As such, we will be bringing on key talent throughout 2021 to rapidly scale the company further.
We are ultimately looking to hire full time employees, but are very open to contract-to-perm or part-time-to-perm arrangements.

We are looking to bring on some skilled senior resources with any/all of the requisite skills: • Node.js/express-based frameworks • Serverless Node.js in AWS Lambda • Big data ingest, aggregation, modeling, reporting, analytics: MongoDB + Node.js • Data Visualization: HighCharts, Tableau, QuickSight, Client-side JS-based graphing/visualization frameworks • Bonus: ElasticSearch at scale • Bonus: Automated testing development • Bonus: CI/CD workflows • Bonus: AWS infrastructure familiarity
The ideal candidate has a specific expertise in at least one of these areas, and some willingness to grow/learn/teach/collaborate. We are ultimately going to be making several hires so please send your stuff along if you have specific expertise in one or more of these.
Location of work: Most of the team is based in southern California but this job is remote and open to applicants anywhere in the United States.

Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) • 5+ years of relevant work experience in large scale software applications • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (JavaScript-client and/or server side) • Experience in high volume/high performance environments • Past experience in video and OTT is a big plus!
