Overview:
The Database Administrator will join the group responsible for supporting project initiatives in the company’s database environments. Core responsibilities include supporting, maintaining, and enhancing business critical business applications in a secure environment.
We use Microsoft Infrastructure
Detailed Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain database security
Perform migrations between servers and platforms
Create, review, and maintain change controls
Analyze and debug server issues
Investigate and resolve application errors
Develop and implement data feeds, reporting, and ETL processes across systems
Prepare and maintain documentation
Implement and maintain data distribution and disaster recovery solutions, such as mirroring, replication, and log shipping
Monitor and make enhancements to improve performance and minimize resource use
Support High Availability and Disaster recovery across multiple data centers
Provide 24x7 support an average of 1 week per month
RequiredEducation and Experience:
At least 5 years of experience with SQL 2012, 2014 and 2016, Windows 2012 and 2016, and physical and VMWare SQL setup frameworks.
Deep understanding of security concepts and implementation – Security Certifications are a big plus
Experience with SQL Server performance management and tuning, including understanding of SQL execution plans
SQL Server Administration experience including:
Triggers
Stored Procedure Code Development and Standardization
Data Integration and Migration
Management Studio
SQL XML
Database Auditing and Controls
Proven troubleshooting abilities
Strong planning and analysis skills
Strong documentation skills
