We are looking for someone with deep knowledge of Software Engineering and Web Application development with Ruby on Rails to join our team in Brooklyn.

Technical Responsibilities

• Writing clean, reusable and extensible code with Ruby on Rails, with expanding use of React.js
• Optimizing relational databases and legacy code to create a scalable, high performance, high availability platform
• Developing a major social media application to expand end-user services beyond current offerings
• Creating new applications and features
• Assisting Product, Marketing, and Sales in creating user guides and training

Ideal Qualifications

• 3+ years building multi-tier web applications with a high-growth tech company
• Advanced knowledge of js frameworks (Ruby on Rails, React/Node, Sinatra, and others) 
• Experience actively participating in and sharing ideas with agile development teams
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments
• Knowledge of Cloud Computing, Virtualization, NoSQL
• Development, UNIX, and RESTful APIs
• Experience writing, and optimizing SQL queries
• Mobile Development experience
