Oasis Center of the Rogue Valley The Oasis Center of the Rogue Valley is a family-centered primary care medical clinic providing holistic care for families with young children. In Spring of 2024 we opened a therapeutic childcare program to support children's social/emotional health and overall family well-being. The classes are low-ratio and are supported by a family coach and a children's therapist. We are very excited to be searching for early childhood classroom assistants! We have both a part-time and a full-time position open.

The Childcare Assistant is an essential part of the classroom team and provides organization and practical support for the classroom, as well as engaging with children and the classroom activities. This role works directly with families and children and supports activities that nurture children’s healthy social and emotional development and family engagement.

Responsibilities:

Supporting teachers in daily activities and planning

Preparing snacks and meals according to nutritional standards

Maintaining clean and organized kitchen area

Assisting the teachers in maintaining a safe and positive environment

Interacting one on one, and in groups, with children

Cultivating relationships with children, parents, and guardians

Answering classroom phone, responding to caregivers as needed

Supporting outdoor play activities

Adhering to program policies and procedures and childcare licensing standards

Supporting classroom documentation including attendance, diaper changing logs, injury forms, and emergency drills

Qualifications:

Previous experience in an early childhood setting preferred

Current enrollment in Oregon Central Background Registry (CBR)

Completion of Oregon DELC safety set

Current Food Handlers Card

Current First Aid & Pediatric CPR

Must be cleared in registry before hire, CPR able to be obtained after hire.
