NOTE: _We have multiple opening for the above role in Oceanside (92056) and Foster City (94404), CA. We are looking for senior Network Design Engineer (8+ Years) with extensive experience in ARUBA WIRELESS AND KNOWLEDGE ON PALO ALTO. Interview mode will be phone/Skyp_e.
DESCRIPTION: The Senior Network engineer with 8-10 year experience performing activities required to design, build, deploy and support the enterprise LAN/WAN network comprising over 70 sites worldwide and supporting operations, production datacenters, applications, telephone and video systems and other devices. Candidates must have a strong background in routing, switching, and firewall devices/technologies and he or she must have experience with large to small network deployments. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE AT LEAST 30% TRAVEL SO CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL TO VARIOUS COUNTRIES AND POSSESS A VALID PASSPORT.
THIS ROLE WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Enterprise production and manufacturing infrastructure consisting of Cisco switches (45xx, 9300, 4500x, 6807, Nexus 5548, 5596, 56128) and routers (ASR 1002, 4451x)
- Schedule and perform network maintenance, repair, and code upgrade tasks as needed while limiting the impact on the production network
- Work with local Engineering, Facilities Operations, and/or colocation vendors while turning up multiple/remote sites and also for decommissioning of sites.
- Create change requests to configure, change and/or deploy any new/existing devices throughout the corp infrastructure and attend CAB meeting for approval.
- Proactively contribute to documentation using Visio, update Solarwinds monitoring tools and network diagrams on regular basis
- Configure WLAN using Aruba 7220 and 7210, controller/RAP, IAPs (controller-less), APs
- Turning up multi-homed DIA and MPLS circuits throughout the globe using eBGP/iBGP/OSPF at data centers as well as regional offices through vendors such as Verizon/Level3/CFN/AT&T/Comcast
- Work on setting up remote offices, configure, deploy and turn up network hardware including wireless setup
- Deploy new Palo Alto 5k, 3k, or 850 firewall for new site deployments and internal security project as needed.
- Configure/change firewall rules on Cisco ASA and Palo Alto Networks Panorama. Create templates and manage devices through Panorama for new deployments and existing firewalls.
- Create entries in DNS and work with F5 GTM to create wide IPs across multiple data centers.
- Administration/deployment/configuration of F5 LTM 10250/5200/4000 and GTM 2000 in Gilead's global datacenters in Asia, EU, and US, includes setting up the configuration of vserver/pool/nodes along with custom profiles and irules.
- Deploy OpenGear Out of Band console servers
- Configure, edit rules and troubleshoot Blue Coat Proxies/Director.
