Job Summary
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate has a compassionate style of care, has strong communication and interpersonal skills, has experience working with the pediatric population, and is comfortable working in a multidisciplinary setting.
Responsibilities
Carry out therapy interventions designed by the OT.
Adapt activities to meet the needs of the patient.
Help clients practice self-care, mobility, and work-related tasks.
Provide hands-on support during therapeutic exercises or activities.
Record patient performance and responses to therapy.
Report observations and suggest adjustments to the supervising OT.
Teach patients and families how to continue therapy at home.
Provide training on adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
Ensure therapy sessions are safe, comfortable, and effective.
Follow infection control, safety, and ethical standards.
Qualifications
Must hold the required state license for occupational therapy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills
Good attention to detail
The ability to stay positive and compassionate over a long period of time with patients
