    Setting: Hybrid Model (In-Home + In Clinic Services)

    Base Salary Range: $85,000–$98,000 annually

    Total Compensation Package Range: Approximately $97,000–$114,000 annually

    Compensation: Determined by experience, specialization, certifications, and overall clinical expertise.

    What You’ll Do

    πŸ”Ή Assess Developmental Progress

    Evaluate fine motor, sensory, adaptive, self-help, emotional regulation, and developmental skills.

    Conduct screenings and assessments to identify developmental delays and support needs.

    Develop individualized treatment goals based on assessment results, clinical observations and family priorities.

    πŸ”Ή Provide Direct Occupational Therapy Services

    Deliver engaging, child-led occupational therapy sessions in home and center-based settings.

    Support sensory integration, emotional regulation, feeding, motor coordination, self-help skills, and daily routines.

    πŸ”Ή Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams

    Work closely with Child Development Specialists, Speech Therapists, Physical Therapists, Educators, and Regional Center teams.

    Participate in team meetings, consultations, and collaborative care planning.

    πŸ”Ή Educate & Support Families

    Provide caregiver education, modeling, and support.

    Help families better understand developmental needs and practical intervention strategies.

    πŸ”Ή Monitor & Document Progress

    Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.

    Complete evaluations, progress reports, final reports, and session notes within required deadlines.

    Adjust intervention plans based on ongoing progress monitoring and family feedback.

    πŸ”Ή Advocate for Early Childhood Development

    Promote awareness regarding the importance of early intervention services.

    Support families in navigating available developmental and community resources.

    Minimum Qualifications

    πŸŽ“ Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. πŸ“‹ Current California Occupational Therapy License in good standing. πŸ‘Ά Minimum 1–2 years of pediatric experience preferred. πŸ“ Strong clinical documentation and report-writing skills (writing samples may be requested). πŸ’» Basic knowledge of Google Docs, Google Sheets, and digital documentation systems. πŸš— Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and active auto insurance required. 🌎 Bilingual skills preferred. 🧠 Experience with early intervention, sensory integration, DIR/Floortime, feeding therapy, or caregiver coaching strongly preferred.

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

    Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and floor sitting.

    Ability to transition quickly to maintain child safety.

    Clear vision and hearing for supervision and clinical interaction.

    Ability to respond swiftly during emergency situations.

    Documentation & Operational Expectations

    Team members are expected to maintain consistency and professionalism across all communication and operational systems.

    Required Responsibilities Include:

    Initial Goals Plans (per due date)

    Progress Reports / Final Reports / Evaluations

    Request for Services documentation

    Session Logs

    Orientation signatures for new families

    Timesheets and mileage documentation

    Attendance at bi-annual meetings (twice yearly)

    Participation in required trainings

    Maintaining above-baseline attendance expectations

    Consistent communication through Email and Slack

    Compensation Package + Benefits

    Occupational Therapist compensation is determined by experience, specialization, certifications, and pediatric early intervention background.

    Base Salary Range: $85,000–$98,000 annually

    Total Compensation Package w/ Benefits: $97,000–$114,000 annually

    The DML Interview Journey

    πŸ”Ή Step 1: Online Application (15–20 Minutes)

    Complete the DML Occupational Therapist Application and upload your resume. The application helps us learn more about your experience, clinical background, schedule preferences, and overall fit for the role.

    πŸ”Ή Step 2: Google Meet Interview (30–40 Minutes)

    Selected candidates will participate in a virtual interview with DML leadership to discuss clinical experience, early intervention philosophy, communication style, and overall alignment with our culture and values.

    πŸ”Ή Step 3: In-Person Interview & Clinical Observation (Approximately 1 Hour)

    Finalists will participate in an in-person interview and clinical observation to further explore clinical reasoning, therapeutic approach, family interactions, and collaboration skills.

    Selected candidates may be required to complete employment verification, background clearance, TB clearance, license verification, and other onboarding requirements.

    Candidates selected to move forward will typically hear back within 5–7 business days between interview stages.
