    Job Summary

    The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat patients with a variety of functional, physical, and activity-related needs. The OT will develop individualized treatment plans, provide evidence-based interventions, educate patients and caregivers, and monitor progress to support improved independence and functional outcomes.

    The ideal candidate is clinically knowledgeable, compassionate, organized, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

    Key Responsibilities

    Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to identify functional limitations, strengths, and individual treatment needs.

    Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals, clinical findings, and evidence-based practice.

    Provide therapeutic interventions designed to improve functional abilities, independence, mobility, coordination, strength, and participation in daily activities, as appropriate.

    Educate patients and caregivers regarding therapeutic exercises, home programs, adaptive techniques, safety strategies, and assistive equipment.

    Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical response and functional outcomes.

    Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with professional standards and organizational requirements.

    Communicate effectively with physicians and other members of the multidisciplinary care team regarding patient status, treatment plans, and progress.

    Participate in case discussions, team meetings, and other clinical activities that support coordinated patient care.

    Maintain current knowledge of occupational therapy best practices, clinical guidelines, and applicable regulations.

    Provide professional, respectful, and compassionate care that reflects the needs and goals of each patient.

    Qualifications

    Current and active New York State Occupational Therapy license.

    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.

    Strong clinical assessment, treatment-planning, and documentation skills.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

    Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

    Commitment to patient-centered care and professional excellence.

    New York State OT licensure and all required credentials must be maintained in good standing.
