_ Occupational Therapist - Home Health Care_

Location: City of Detroit
Schedule: 40 hours per week, day shift
On-Call Requirements: Minimum of one weekend per month, plus one summer holiday and one winter holiday
Compensation & Benefits: $10,000 sign-on bonus; eligible for full-time benefits

General Summary

Under the supervision of the site Team Leader or Supervisor, the Occupational Therapist will:

• Deliver impactful OT evaluations and treatment that make a real difference in patients' lives and help them reclaim their independence
• Build meaningful connections by communicating openly and collaboratively with patients, coworkers, physicians, and team members—keeping everyone in the loop on patient progress and care needs while maintaining thorough documentation
• Lead and empower your Assistant and tech team members by delegating thoughtfully and supervising with confidence
• Keep the wheels turning by ensuring all patient billing information is completed accurately and efficiently

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIRMENTS:

·Four (4) year baccalaureate degree program accredited by the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

·Registration by the State of Michigan as an occupational therapist.

·Must possess a current State of Michigan driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRMENTS:

·One (1) year of clinical experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

·May need to lift, carry, bend, stoop or be otherwise physically active in the normal course of job duties.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

·Works in the client's home which is an uncontrolled environment.

·May be exposed to potentially infectious materials, bloodborne-disease pathogens and hazardous waste.

·Drives to and from the clients' homes located in the Detroit Metropolitan area in varied weather and traffic conditions.

·Must have reliable transportation and a telephone.
