_ The position will be in the Territory of Downriver Suburbs. The cities will include but are not limited to:_

Dearborn, Dearborn Heigts, Garden City, Inkster, Westland, Canton, Southgate, Taylor, Romulus, Belleville.

Henry Ford Home Health Care is a comprehensive network of home health products and services that focuses on the complex needs of patients and caregivers. Available programs include chronic care management, joint replacement care, specialty infusion and transplant care, wound, ostomy and continence nursing, and palliative care to name a few. Henry Ford Home Health Care’s services are provided by qualified registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified wound, ostomy and continence nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech - language pathologists, medical social workers, dietitians, and home health aides.

General Summary

Under the supervision of the site Team Leader or Supervisor, the Occupational Therapist will:

• Deliver impactful OT evaluations and treatment that make a real difference in patients' daily lives and functional independence
• Build meaningful connections with patients, coworkers, physicians, and team members—keeping everyone in the loop with clear communication and thorough documentation of patient care
• Lead and empower your Assistant and tech team members, delegating tasks strategically to maximize patient outcomes
• Keep the wheels turning by ensuring accurate and timely patient billing information so we can continue doing what we do best

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Master's Degree, preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

• Current State of Michigan Registration and National board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Patient care setting with potential exposure to communicable disease.
• Limited noise, temperature fluctuation and dust are possible.
