Occupational Therapist - Home Health Care – Northern Oakland County - Pay Per Visit (contingent)

GENERAL SUMMARY

Under the guidance of the therapy supervisor, you'll bring treatment programs to life by designing and leading a dynamic range of sensorimotor, educational, recreational, and social activities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement engaging, personalized treatment programs tailored to each client's goals and abilities
• Design and facilitate creative sensorimotor, educational, recreational, and social activities that inspire progress and joy
• Work collaboratively with the therapy supervisor and interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care
• Track client progress and adjust activities to maximize therapeutic outcomes and client satisfaction
• Build meaningful connections with clients and caregivers, creating a supportive and motivating environment
• Document activities and outcomes to maintain accurate records and support ongoing care planning

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIRMENTS:

• Four (4) year baccalaureate degree program accredited by the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Registration by the State of Michigan as an occupational therapist.

• Must possess a current State of Michigan driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRMENTS:

• One (1) year of clinical experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• May need to lift, carry, bend, stoop or be otherwise physically active in the normal course of job duties.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Works in the client's home which is an uncontrolled environment.

• May be exposed to potentially infectious materials, bloodborne-disease pathogens and hazardous waste.

• Drives to and from the clients' homes located in the Detroit Metropolitan area in varied weather and traffic conditions.

• Must have reliable transportation and a telephone.
