Occupational Therapist - Home Health Care

Location: South-East Macomb County
Schedule: 24 hours per week, day shift
On-Call Requirements: Minimum of one weekend per month, plus one summer holiday and one winter holiday
Compensation & Benefits: $6,000 sign-on bonus; eligible for part-time benefits

_ The position will be in the Territory of South-East Macomb County The cities will include but are not limited to:_

_ Eastpointe, Centerline, Grosse Pointe, Harper Woods, Roseville, St. Clair Shores, Warren. _

General Summary

Under the supervision of the site Team Leader or Supervisor, the Occupational Therapist will:

• Deliver impactful OT evaluations and treatment – Make a real difference in patients' lives by performing comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and delivering personalized treatment that helps them thrive in their daily activities.
• Be a communication champion – Connect meaningfully with patients, coworkers, physicians, and other team members to ensure everyone's on the same page about patient care needs. Keep meticulous documentation that tells the complete story of each patient's journey.
• Lead with confidence – Supervise and delegate tasks to Assistants and techs, empowering your team to deliver excellent care together.
• Keep the wheels turning – Ensure all patient billing information is completed accurately and efficiently, so nothing falls through the cracks.

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Master's Degree, preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

• Current State of Michigan Registration and National board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Patient care setting with potential exposure to communicable disease.
• Limited noise, temperature fluctuation and dust are possible.
