Occupational Therapists Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities including strength, endurance, coordination, communication skills, and self-care capacity
  
• Assess home environments for safety risks and recommend modifications or adaptive equipment
  
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable functional goals
  
• Communicate plans of care with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
  
• Provide therapeutic interventions to restore daily living skills affected by illness or injury
  
• Fabricate splints and train patients in the use of adaptive, prosthetic, and orthotic devices
  
• Perform work capacity evaluations when appropriate
  
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation
  
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and progress
  
• Participate in case conferences, care coordination, and discharge planning
  

Key Qualifications:

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in FL
  
• Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
  
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience preferred
  
• Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  
• Current CPR Certification
  
• Ability to work independently in a home health setting
