Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to join our team! As an Occupational Therapist, you will be meeting with new patients, assessing their needs, and creating personalized treatment plans to help them reach their goals. You will also be documenting all patient care, observing and participating in treatment, and adjusting goals and milestones as needed for the best possible outcomes. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of occupational therapy, is able to provide compassionate care to every patient, and has excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities
Meet with patients for the first time in their occupational journey, answering introductory questions
Make evaluations and create treatment plans customized for that patient, working with them to set short and long term goals for their therapy needs
Assist in the implementation of the treatment plan, adjusting as needed to ensure successful outcomes
Maintaining excellent records of patient needs, care, and outcome
Work closely with the family of the patients and the patients itself to ensure they have the knowledge and tools they need for success
Maintain accurate documentation of client progress
OTA applicants will assist the OT in providing therapy services
Qualifications
OT: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program , NBCOT certification, and Alaska state licensure (or eligibility)
OTA: Associate’s degree from an accredited OTA program, NBCOT certification, and Alaska state licensure (or eligibility)
Passion for helping clients achieve their communication goals
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skill
Excellent organizational skills
Strong charting and documentation skills
Familiarity with basic computer programs, such as the Microsoft Office suite
