Occupational Therapist (OT)

Location: Cumming, GA 30041
Contract Dates: September 28, 2026 – January 16, 2027
Duration: 13 weeks
Candidates: Open to Local & Travel Candidates

Schedule

• Schedule varies; typical hours are 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
• Holiday requirements apply (see below)

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Occupational Therapy experience in the specialty
• AHA BLS required
• Active Georgia OT license
• NBCOT certification required
• Recent acute care experience preferred

Position Overview

The Occupational Therapist will work within the Cerner Acute Care OT Department, providing occupational therapy services to acute care patients throughout the hospital.

Responsibilities include supporting patients from physician orders through the continuum of acute care, with exposure to a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses, including:

• ICU patients
• Stroke and neurological conditions
• Orthopedic patients
• General debility
• Other acute medical and surgical diagnoses

Holiday Requirements

Northside Holiday Expectations:

Candidates must work 2 of the 3 major holidays:

• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day
• New Year's Day

AND 1 minor holiday:

• Friday after Thanksgiving
• Christmas Eve
• New Year's Eve
