Now hiring a Pediatric Occupational therapist with a Texas license for a position in a pediatric sensory integration based private practice. Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment, documentation, parent communication, schedule management as well as other duties requested as needed. SPOTS has been the premier provider of pediatric Occupational and Physical therapy for over 30 years in the Dallas market. SPOTS has a team of talented and passionate therapists who collaborate with each other to provide the absolute best treatment for our patients.

Responsibilities
Address child’s aspects of performance to support engagement in occupations that affect their maximum potential
Select and adapt the appropriate per case occupational therapy treatment model, method and approach to direct the process of interventions
Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living, play, and social skills
Teach children new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
Provide suggestions and recommendations for at home about the child that are consistent with their needs and capabilities
Guide and educate family members/caregivers
Regularly follow-up with family
Skills
Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy
Ability to manage children with different types of personalities and temperaments
Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession
Professional behavior
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Valid license to practice occupational therapy in Texas
Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy or COTA

Company History
SPOTS was founded in 1995. SPOTS has been developed in the Dallas area over the past 30 years and has become known as the premier Occupational and Physical therapy provider in the area. The main clinic is located in the heart of Dallas at Harvest Hill and the Tollway. In 2001, SPOTS added a satellite clinic at Oak Hill Academy in order to provide clinical therapy services to the students during their school day.
SPOTS has spent the last 30 years developing its family of therapists. Jennifer Suggs, MOT, OTR, SIPT certified, is the practice owner and has been a part of SPOTS since 1999. She was SIPT certified in 2001. Jennifer has experience in the hospital setting, school based setting, and pediatric private practice. Jennifer is committed to developing and maintaining premier services to the children, parents and professionals. In 2011, SPOTS also added another satellite clinic at The Winston School where clinical therapy services, as well as motor lab are available during school.
