    Fitness for Health
    11140 Rockville Pike, Suite 303
    Rockville, MD 20852

    Overview

Due to continued expansion, Fitness for Health is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant for a unique 50/50 hybrid clinical + athletic-performance role. 5-10 hours per week are available to start. 20 hours per week are available from August 3rd through August 21st. There is the potential for this role to grow into a full-time position.

This role would be a great fit for school-based clinicians looking for additional summer hours

This is not a traditional therapy position. You will split your time between:

    • 50% Clinical OTA: Treating a diverse pediatric and young adult caseload—including developmental, motor, orthopedic, and neurodivergent populations

    • 50% Advanced Motor Development: Coaching, training, and developing gross motor skills using our high-tech exergaming systems, athletic training tools, and sensory-motor equipment

We want a clinician who thinks like an athlete, moves like a coach, and thrives in a fast-paced, sensory-rich environment.

    Caseload / Patient Population

You will work in our state-of-the-art outpatient clinic, serving:

    • Children and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, developmental/genetic disorders, motor delays, orthopedic needs, learning differences, and more

    • Pediatric and adolescent athletes needing gross motor development, return-to-play conditioning, or movement retraining

    • Clients ranging from early childhood through young adulthood

Dedicated time is scheduled for notes, parent communication, and treatment planning.

Bring your passion for movement, sports, technology, and creative therapy to a team that’s redefining what rehabilitation can be.

    What You Will Do

    • Provide exceptional therapy services

    • Lead high-energy motor development and athletic-style training sessions using exergaming, balance systems, and advanced movement platforms

    • Create engaging, motivating, play-based treatment sessions tailored to each child’s needs

    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to build individualized plans of care

    • Maintain accurate documentation using Clinic Source EMR

    • Support a clinic culture that is fun, loud, energetic, and encouraging for kids and families

    Clinic Hours

The clinic is open 7 days per week. Flexible options are available for part-time candidates.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Estimated full-time compensation: $30-$45 per hour+ depending on experience, discipline, and qualifications

    • Full-time staff receive:

      • Health insurance

      • Paid vacation time

      • Continuing education allowance

      • Access to cutting-edge equipment and training resources

    Job Requirements

    • Valid Maryland license as an OTA

    • Sports, athletics, or coaching experience highly preferred

    • Experience in gross motor development, motor learning, or sensory-motor training

    • Background working with pediatrics, neurodivergent children, or developmental disorders is a plus

    • High-energy, creative, outgoing personality

    • Ability to work one weekend day

    • Full-time is preferred, but part-time applicants are welcome

    • New graduates will be considered if comfortable working independently
