Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Graduate from an accredited OT school

Experience

• 1–3 years in outpatient specialty required

Licenses/Certifications

• Current licensure in the state of employment.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• Any other required certifications (e.g., ACLS).
• Epic computer charting required
• LYMPHEDEMA CERT REQ

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with state guidelines and policies and identify potential issues and propose corrective actions.

• Maintain accurate records and statistics, including staffing levels, inventory, and patient care.

• Maintain a professional and high standard of patient care and attend institutional staff meetings as directed.

General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: Adult Outpatient, Rehab Facility; Patient Diagnoses include stroke, ortho (shoulder, hands, UE) and other neuro (MS, TBI, Guillan Burre); Required Skills include assessment, discharge, evaluation, plan of care, reassessments, lifting and transfer, patient/family education, safety and injury prevention, telephone calls, adaptive equipment and pre-discharge planning.
