Occupational Therapy Adjunct Faculty

Dominican University New York's Occupational Therapy Program is seeking an adjunct faculty member to join us in teaching the two research-based courses in either our well-established nontraditional weekend format or our new one-weekday-per-week format. This position will work closely with the full-time OT Research Coordinator/teaching faculty member.

Requirements:

1. Occupational therapist with initial NBCOT OTR certification
2. Minimum of three years of recent clinical experience
3. Earned research doctorate (PhD, EdD, DSc, etc. in OT or health-related field); doctoral candidate within one year of dissertation completion, or post-professional OTD with bona fide research project and peer-reviewed publication will be considered
4. Knowledge of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research design
5. Experience presenting in professional forums
6. Basic knowledge and experience in the use of Excel and/ or SPSS for quantitative data analytics
7. Be available outside of classroom teaching hours to communicate and meet with students and the faculty research project mentors

Additional preferred qualifications:

1. Current New York OT license or eligibility
2. Knowledge and experience in using Blackboard LMS
3. Knowledge and experience in the use of qualitative analysis software
4. At least one publication in a peer-reviewed journal within the past 5 years
5. Fluency in Spanish is preferred, but not required. __
