    Job Description

    Ocean Bay, LLC a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a PUBLIC RELATIONS SPECIALIST & EVENT PLANNER to join our team in Crane, IN.

    This position will support the Corporate Operations Department, Comptroller Department at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane).

    This program provides a wide range of non-personal professional, technical, and management support services in the areas of strategy and planning, research and analysis, program/project analyst support, financial management, communications/public relations, graphics and publications, property management, materials/supplies support, administrative, and management support services.

     

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The Public Relations Specialist & Event Planner shall:

    • Support and collaborate with NSWC, Crane Division Public Affairs Office (PAO) with events in support of NSWC Crane Command, or in support of NSWC Crane's mission.
    • Support the planning and coordination of numerous NSWC Crane events and meetings throughout the year. While many of the events are planned months in advance, some will require planning and coordination with minimal advance notice.
    • Provide support and collaboration required for events, ceremonies, trade shows and meetings, which will typically include planning, coordination, preparation, set-up/tear-down/clean-up, and be available during any such events to provide any necessary assistance. Public Relations Specialists shall also provide necessary equipment to support events.
    • Coordinate tours at NSWC Crane for off station visitors. These tours shall include scheduling visits at various buildings/departments located at NSWC Crane. Public Relations Specialists shall coordinate a tour guide for each occurrence. The number of scheduled tours shall not exceed three (3) per week.
    • Design Command Awards IAW Government provided design criteria delivered for each Command Award as GFI. The awards may include, but not be limited to, plaques, certificates of appreciation, and custom mounted trophy awards, etc. to recognize an employee or Team Crane organizational element.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    • US Citizenship. 
    • Active SECRET security clearance or previous SECRET clearance under current investigation window, eligible for re-instatement. 
    • PUBLIC RELATIONS SPECIALIST : Bachelor’s degree or formal training and 5 years of demonstrated experience in Public Relations. 
    • EVENT PLANNER : Associate degree or 3 years demonstrated experience in planning events for a Federal agency. 
    • Public relations or event planning experience for Federal Agency. 
    • Capable and skilled in verbal and written communications and able to apply these skills in communicating with all levels of management.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • Active SECRET security clearance.
    • Five (5) years of demonstrated experience in public relations support for US Navy.
    • Experience supporting the Corporate Operations Department, Comptroller Department at NSWC Crane is preferred.
    • Experience managing a large workforce providing a wide range of management support
