    Job Description

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The ASP.NET Full-Stack Developer will be responsible for developing new and maintaining (enhancements and fixes) business solutions in MS ASP.NET technology stack (HTML/jQuery/CSS/JSON/Bootstrap, C#, ASP.NET MVC/Core, and MS SQL Server objects). The developer will work alone and, in a team, developing and supporting important applications. The developer will report to the Software Development and Operations Director.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Design and develop (enhancement and maintenance) new software solutions using the ASP.NET technologies such as C#, ASP.NET MVC/Core, and MS SQL Server objects such as Stored Procedures, Views, Tables, Index, etc.
    • Interact with Analytics, Traffic, Research, and other business teams regularly to gather business requirements, perform analysis to generate a delivery timeline, coordinate User Acceptance Testing, and support production defects and issues.
    • Follow the SDLC phases precisely to ensure proper requirement coverage, design, and development completion, followed by effective unit testing to ensure quality deliverables.
    • Learn the current version of the application functionalities and database objects (stored procedures and tables) to understand the business scenarios and requirements. Debug and perform code walk-throughs to acquire and build a technical understanding of the legacy applications.
    • Work very closely and provide day-to-day status reports to his/her manager. Join Standup meetings, manage/update application Backlogs and Releases.
    • Follow existing MS VSTS Dev Ops practices, software source code version control using TFS, create new build/release definition pipelines for new applications, and deploy application changes into QA and Prod environments.
    • Accurately estimate the time required to complete projects and tasks. Deliver thoroughly tested functional product, able to meet the business requirement without any shortcomings.
    • Communicate effectively with managers on progress, project details, delivery risks, and overall experience.
    • Research and learn new software development technology and practices followed by using them in creating better tools for the company.
    • Works well independently; capable of self-motivating and managing.
    • Follows all company health and safety procedures.
    • Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    EDUCATION

    Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering is required

    EXPERIENCE

    5-7 years related experience required

    SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: 

    The developer will demonstrate:

    • More than 5 years of experience in developing alone and managing/coordinating with other team members. Proficiency with .NET/C#/ASP.NET MVC/Core, CSS/HTML/JavaScript/Jquery, Entity Framework, Bootstrap, and MS SQL Server Object development, MS TFS/VSTS, etc.
    • Experience in designing and building REST APIs using.NET technologies is preferred and some project experience is required.
    • Expertise and strong technical experience in MS SQL Server (stored procedures, views, triggers, etc.). Must have experience in writing complex SQL queries and big stored procedures for a large dataset. Sound understanding of Index and performance aspects of database object development.
    • Having ETL experience with SSIS and report building in SSRS will be preferable.
    • Experience in design solutions from scratch, logical thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities.
    • Ability to work independently and perform self-analysis, research, code, debug, and create alternatives solutions to existing and new challenges.
    • Strong written and oral communication.
