Octagon Talent Solutions is in search of a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer in the Fort Lauderdale area! You will be at the heart of our client company’s technical teams, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to assess and shape the present and future of cloud infrastructure and applications. Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain Azure infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements.

General knowledge of multiple cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, Oracle, etc.) is desired.

Collaborate with the security team to ensure compliance with security best practices.

Help develop security strategies around cloud infrastructure.

Integrate Azure and other cloud environments into the Zero Trust framework.

Manage Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Azure Active Directory, and other Azure services.

Monitor, optimize, and scale Azure and other cloud resources for performance and cost efficiency.

Assist with cloud security assessments and vulnerability scans.

Background in Active Directory, traditional IT infrastructure, and PowerShell scripting.

Ability to configure, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls and other network connectivity issues is desired.

Expertise in managing and optimizing Azure cloud environments, FortiGate Firewalls, and Palo Alto Prisma Access solutions.

Manage and support Palo Alto Prisma Cloud Access for secure remote access.

Knowledge of SASE, Prisma Access or SD-WAN architectures

Familiar with remote user access technologies, WAN Technologies, Tunneling protocols such as SSL/TLS, IPSec, GRE, DMVPN, Authentication methodologies, including 2FA, RADIUS, LDAP, AD, and IP Routing - BGP, OSPF, Static, Network Address Translation.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Azure and other cloud and network configurations.

Generate reports on cloud infrastructure performance, security incidents, and compliance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical support and guidance.

Participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 support when necessary.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.

Proven experience as an Azure Infrastructure Engineer with Azure certification (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect).

Expertise in FortiGate Firewall administration and Palo Alto Prisma Access.

Knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and best practices.

Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Azure Automation).

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Security Engineer, Certified Cloud Security Professional, etc.).

Network and Security Certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE) are a plus.

Experience with PanOS, FortiOS, and DevOps are a plus.
