Job Description

WE’RE SEEKING A MAGENTO DEVELOPER AND ALL-AROUND COMPUTER WIZARD TO JOIN OUR TEAM OF E-COMMERCE SPECIALISTS BUILDING AND MAINTAINING OUR WEBSITES AND OTHER INTEGRATION PROJECTS. THIS POSITION REQUIRES A SOLID UNDERSTANDING OF MAGENTO 2 AND WILL SUPPORT OUR MAGENTO-BASED WEBSITES THROUGH DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT AS WELL AS VARIOUS SOFTWARE INTEGRATION PROJECTS.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain Magento 2 websites
• Customize Magento's front-end components using layout XML, blocks, and templates
• Research, install, test and maintain ready-made and custom Magento extensions

OTHER TASKS:

• Develop and maintain data flows between Magento 2 (frontend), Netsuite (ERP), Google Analytics, marketing tools, and our shipping partners.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Front-End Development (HTML5, CSS, JQuery, XML, Responsive mobile design. Preferred: Knockout.js, Underscore)
• Back-End Development (PHP)
• Understanding of Magento's code structure, extension architecture, and theming
• Web services integrations (REST/SOAP)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
• PHP web development experience
• Experience with Magento 2 development
• Excellent communication, documentation, and attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work on challenging tasks by yourself as part of a team
• A desire to be personally responsible for robust, high-quality code
• Ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple projects simultaneously

PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:

• Magento Certification
• Experience with Linux/Apache
• Familiarity with Netsuite ERP
• SQL experience
• Knowledge of bug and feature tracking systems such as Jira, New relic, etc.
• Git-based source control
• Knowledge of technologies like CDN, hosting, web server configurations, DNS, etc.
• Knowledge of e-commerce data organization, relationships and store catalog (categories/products/attributes)
