Job Description
At Oddacious Solutions, we gratefully take our clients' icky, Monday-dread-inducing work, run it through our team of Alchemists, and produce joy for our clients and for us. We are growing and looking for someone with the magic touch to produce more joy as a Service Alchemist.
What does a Service Alchemist do? The short answer is nearly everything--data entry, respond to customer inquiries and complaints, review documentation for completeness and accuracy, sort recycling, assess the validity of legal documents, and paint over graffiti. Frankly, we're way more interested in "how" and "why" we work than "what" it is that we do. But, if you really have to know: our predominant task is helping technology companies manage law enforcement requests for user data and abusive content on their platforms.
Why we work: Our Oddacious Purpose is to promote the flourishing of people and communities by making joyful workplaces through service to others.
How we work: We operate consistent with these Oddacious Values:
- Upgrade to the Platinum Rule. We consider how our thoughts, speech, and actions affect others and seek to treat them as they would like to be treated.
- Build trust and make it safe. We act with integrity, speak with candor, listen more than we talk, assume best intentions, and welcome opinions different from ours.
- Leave it better than you found it. We clean up messes we didn’t make and don’t ignore opportunities for improvement because someone else said it was “good enough.”
- Be outstanding and improving. We do top-notch work while embracing change and celebrating errors as paths to improvement.
- Be authentic. We embrace who and where we are, bringing our real selves to work every day and encouraging others to do the same.
- Be passionate. We are out to make a difference, and nothing significant was ever achieved half-heartedly.
- Be humble. We quietly press on because there is no finish line, and everyone has something to teach us.
If our "why" and "how" resonate with you, Oddacious Solutions might be the perfect place for you even if the "what" of the job is a bit fuzzy. Here are some of the things you must have to be considered for the role:
- Meticulous attention to detail, with proven ability to accurately analyze complex documents;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Demonstrated contributions to a collaborative team;
- Willingness to undergo a full background check; and
- An Associate's degree or three years in the workforce with excellent references.
