The Role You Will Play:
- Works collaboratively with multidisciplinary staff and physicians to coordinate clinical care of oncology patients in the inpatient and outpatient setting.
- Plans and provides education for staff, patients and families regarding oncology care.
- Identifies opportunities to improve care and outcomes for oncology patients.
- Participates in hospital education activities in conjunction with the educators from other pathways and the education department.
- Acts as a resource to staff through consultation and role modeling of expert cancer nursing behaviors.
- Participates in research activities and facilitates integration of new research findings into clinical practice.
- Participates in community activities and programs for cancer awareness and intervention.

Background:
- Current KY License as a Registered Nurse
- MSN required.
- OCN or AOCN required
- 3-5 years of oncology nursing experience.
- Demonstrated ability in educational activities, clinical practice and consultation.
- Considerable knowledge of computers/word processing and standard office equipment.
