The role you will play
• Work under direction of the CV Surgeon and in collaboration with CVOR Coordinator
• Maintain positive working relationships with patients, families, and coworkers
• Perform all surgical skills as a 1st and/or 2nd assistant in cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures
• Perform Endoscopic Saphenous Vein Harvesting
• Assist in setup of CVOR room with entire CVOR team
• Serve as mentor/preceptor, assist in training of others in regards to team development
• Maintains professional communication skills with physicians, nurses, and technicians
• 6a-6p M-F, or hours required by job
Background
• Required successful completion of Accredited Surgical First Assistant (RNFA, CFA, CSA) program
• CNOR
• Minimum 2 years' experience as CVOR First Assistant
• Must have 1 year experience with endoscopic saphenous vein harvesting - no exceptions
