    The Role you will play:

    A CRNA is a member of the anesthesiology care team which administers anesthesia to patients. All case assignment is determined by an Anesthesiologist by demonstrating the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to provide anesthesia care appropriate to the neonatal, pediatric and adolescent population. The CRNA implements the mission, vision, and values of the organization, Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine and the Practice. The CRNA participates in departmental and hospital programs for Quality Assessment and Improvement by identifying opportunities to improve services, making recommendations and implementing actions as appropriate and consistent with the goals of the organization, as well as the practice.

    Background Profile:

    • Required Education: Masters or doctorate degree in nursing, from a Nurse Anesthesia program. Must have previous peds experience. If new grad must have peds RN experience. PICU ideal.
    • Board Certified Nurse Anesthetist
    • Current unrestricted license as a registered nurse in Pennsylvania and any other states as required by the Department based on job duties
    • Must maintain Certificate of APN/Prescriptive Authority where required
    • Must maintain ACLS, PALS, and BCLS
