    Job Overview:

    Operating Room Supervisor supervises and coordinates the activities of personnel in the operating room. Ensures adherence to procedure and schedule. Oversees the procurement and maintenance of equipment and supplies, staffing, and training of team members.


    Education and Experience:

    • Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred.
    • Active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
    • Must obtain BLS within 90 day of hire and must obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire.
    • Ideal candidate will have 3 years of surgical experience and at least 1 year of leadership experience.

      Primary Duties / Responsibilities:

    • Provides supervision to clinical team members.
    • Provides direct and indirect patient care in surgical specialties of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
    • Provides patient and staff education and assesses the need for, and implements, activities for quality improvement.
    • Utilizes advanced knowledge and experience to coordinate patient care and anticipates the outcome of nursing interventions.
    • Accepts responsibility and accountability for ethical and legal behavior.
    • Participates in management activities such as scheduling, vacation requests, and onboarding.
    • Assumes an increasing leadership responsibility for professional practice among the clinical team in the absence of the clinical manager.
    • Assists with the scheduling and order of OR patients.
    • Oversees supply chain management regarding PAR levels and necessary ordering of clinical supplies. Assists with management of shipment arrivals.
    • Oversees maintenance schedules of OR equipment.
    • Establishes relationships with key stakeholders such as vendors.
    • Effectively communicates need for equipment repair and/or replacement to administration.
