Summary/Objective
We are seeking a Surgical Technician to work alongside surgeons in our busy practice. Our office is extremely professional and fast-paced. Qualified applicants must have acute tactile abilities with steady hands, good dexterity and excellent eyesight.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Always maintain sterile technique during surgery, as well as ensuring that all equipment needed adhere to sterile practice.
- Make sure that the required items needed for all surgical procedures are in the office.
- Wash and pack instruments, make sure that they are ready for sterilization.
- Strong communication skills with peers.
- Assist the surgeon in passing the instruments during the procedures, using proper techniques.
- Keep an accurate count on sharps such as blades, sutures, needles. As well as an accurate count of the local anesthesia injected during the procedure.
- Assist the surgeon in a first assistant role as needed.
- On occasion, circulate during procedures.
- Stock the Operating Room with items needed for surgery.
- Assist anesthesiologist with restocking as well as when patient is being prepared in the operating room.
- Help turn over the operating room and prepare for the next day or for the next case as needed.
- On occasion, when needed, assist in other procedures such as hair transplant cases, training will be provided.

- Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
