    The Role you will play:

    • Onboarding in collaboration with the Intake team of patients reaching out to or transferring to our facility to participate in Relapse Heme Malignancy clinical trials including communication with the primary team and the family, obtaining records, and coordinating appointments.
    • Responsible for the collection of a variety of mucosal specimens, biopsies, ECG’s and evaluation and managing adverse events, ordering and interpreting appropriate laboratory assessments.
    • Collaborate with other relapse hematological malignancy study team members (research assistants), other research groups such as DVL and CART, and the Pharmacy Investigational Drug Services (IDS) to provide appropriate medical care, medical care coordination, and regulatory support for Phase I-III trials in children.
    • Utilizes advanced assessment skills to manage a cohort of patients. Performs and documents daily assessments. Performs any needed advanced procedures that are listed in the Scope of Practice Document and approved as a part of the credentialing process.
    • Evaluates and monitors the effectiveness of the prescribed treatment plan. Using the most current evidence, modifies the plan of care based on the effectiveness of the treatment and the patient/family response to the plan.
    • Serves as an educational resource to the patient/family, nursing staff, and provider team. Acts as a consultant to multidisciplinary health care team members.

    Background Profile:

    • CRNP - Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner license
    • National Board Certification to match area of education.
    • 2+ years of pediatric oncology, medical oncology, or pediatric research/clinical trial CRNP experience required.
