Job Description

As a Quality Assurance Engineer 2 you will maintain and improve upon the QA process for your team. You will work with your team of designers, engineers, content developers, artists, producers and project managers to create value for Players around the world. You will be guided by Test Policies to do the quality activities at every stage of the software development life cycle that set your team up for success. Additionally, you will partner with your team to arrive at more efficient solutions to everyday problems and improve delivery. You will lead other QA professionals remotely to get your work completed. You will work with Chinese speaking QA and development professionals who share the same goals that you have. This is a direct gameplay role and so an understanding of moba gameplay is desired, but proficiency with maintaining and improving testing processes and bug processes is more important. Responsibilities: Maintain and improve upon the process by which features are tested. Maintain and improve upon the process by which bug tickets are triaged Assist in bug triage- In determining which bugs should be fixed and which shouldn't. Report the metrics that matter, using data to guide action. Call out your perceived risks and plan mitigation. Required Qualifications: Understanding of Kanban boards and proficiency with using Kanban boards to manage their own tasks and their team's tasks. Understanding and high proficiency with bug database management, querying, and bug workflows. Experience working with embedded developers and content creators. Experience monitoring, tasking, and leading remote testers daily, and providing feedback on effectiveness. 1+ years Software Quality Assurance Experience, with success leading testing efforts on a team. Extremely good communication skills verbally, but especially through text. Ability to pick up standardized terms quickly and communicates intentionally avoiding ambiguity. These communication skills allow for the delegation and collaboration you will need to work with a large group of remote developers including some with Chinese as their speaking language. Desired Qualifications: Mandarin Language Google and Apple platform experience Development experience across any gaming platforms; mobile, console, and PC.
