    Location: Fort Monroe, VA
    Payrate: $15.00/hour
    Schedule:

    • Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    • Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM

     

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a reliable and professional Office Administration Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for our agency. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Serve as the agency receptionist, welcoming visitors and providing assistance or direction as needed
    • Operate a multi-line phone system, routing calls and responding to inquiries efficiently
    • Maintain workplace security protocols, including:
      • Checking and collecting visitor identification when required
      • Managing visitor sign-in logs
      • Ensuring all visitors are escorted by staff while onsite
    • Receive and sign for incoming deliveries, and coordinate distribution with appropriate departments
    • Sort and distribute mail
    • Schedule and manage agency calendars, including conference rooms and meeting spaces
    • Provide general administrative and clerical support as needed

     

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Coursework or training in clerical support or office systems is a plus
    • Recent experience in a receptionist or administrative role preferred
    • Proficiency in basic office functions, including typing and data entry
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively in a variety of situations
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
