Cheetah Electric is a small, tight-knit electrical contracting team serving Moscow, Pullman, and the Palouse. This role is built around wherever we need you most on a given day — answering inbound calls and backing up our dispatcher, keeping the books covered alongside our bookkeeper (real, hands-on QuickBooks experience required), and pitching in on marketing, customer service, and admin for the owner. Because we're small and still growing, you'll get visibility most office roles don't offer: direct contact with ownership, a hand in how we show up in the community, a real say as we improve how we do things, and room to grow — cross-trained across the board — as you prove yourself.
What You'll Do
- Answer inbound calls and serve as a trained backup for our dispatcher — scheduling and coordinating appointments, job sequencing, and technician availability when they're out or slammed.
- Make outbound calls — following up on estimates and past customers — to help keep the schedule full and bring in additional work when things are slow.
- Deliver the same friendly, no-surprises customer service Cheetah Electric is known for, on the phone and in person.
- Back up our bookkeeper on day-to-day QuickBooks entries — invoicing, payables/receivables, deposits — working closely together in a two-person system that keeps our books clean, transparent, and easy to trust.
- Assist with our marketing — social media posts, photos, customer stories, and mailers.
- Support the owner with day-to-day administrative tasks — calendar, correspondence, filing, vendor follow-up, and occasional help with recruiting (posting openings, screening applicants, scheduling interviews).
- Represent Cheetah Electric in person at community events and fair booths — a handful of evenings or weekends a year, scheduled well in advance.
What You Bring
- Real, hands-on QuickBooks experience — this role isn't the place to learn it from scratch.
- Comfortable in Excel and Word; Canva or similar design experience is a plus.
- 1–2 years in an office, administrative, or bookkeeping-support role.
- Genuinely organized — the kind of person who has a system and actually uses it.
- Friendly and even-keeled on the phone and in person — comfortable with both inbound and outbound calls, and not rattled by a hectic day or a frustrated customer.
- Comfortable with variety — your day might include invoices, a customer call, and a social media post, in order of priority. You can shift gears quickly for something urgent, then pick back up right where you left off.
- Comfortable with change — new tools and better ways of doing things don't throw you off, and you're as likely to suggest an improvement as to quietly go along with the old way.
- Looking for a genuinely varied role, not bookkeeping-only — this position isn't going to split into separate jobs down the road, and we're looking for someone who wants that mix.
Why Cheetah Electric
- A planned onboarding experience — you'll start on phones and dispatch support, then cross-train into bookkeeping backup and the rest as you're ready, so you're not dropped into all of it on day one.
- A small team where your work is seen directly by ownership, with real input into how things get done as we grow.
- Full medical, dental, and vision benefits.
- One week of PTO plus paid holidays.
- We review applications on a rolling basis and follow up directly with strong candidates by phone or email — no automated black hole.
