We are looking for an Office Assistant to organize and coordinate administration duties and office procedures. Your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication, and safety.
Office Assistant responsibilities include: Responsibilities:
Patient Reception: Greet patients, check them in, and verify insurance information.
Appointment Scheduling: Manage patient schedules, including scheduling new and follow-up appointments.
Insurance Verification: Verify patient eligibility for Medi-Cal, IEHP, Molina, and Kaiser.
Billing and Coding: Assist with billing and coding procedures, understanding insurance requirements for different plans.
Communication: Communicate with patients, providers, and other healthcare professionals.
Data Entry: Enter patient information into medical records and computer systems.
Administrative Tasks: Perform general office tasks such as answering phones, filing, and managing correspondence.
SKILLS
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with visitors, clients, and colleagues.
Organization: Strong organizational skills are needed to manage appointments, schedules, and other administrative tasks.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other basic computer programs is often required.
Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service and a welcoming atmosphere is a key aspect of the role.
REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalen 2+ years of experience in a receptionist or administrative role in a medical clinic, hospital, and or mental health company.
