    The Office Assistant provides help with the organization and running of the daily administrative operations of the church. This position requires a hard-working professional who can undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion. Position averages 15 hours per week for 12 months/year. Office Hours are expected to be Tuesday through Thursday, 10 AM to 3 PM.

    Responsibilities

    Organize office and assist staff and congregants

    Assist Operations Manager as needed

    Receive visitors, answer and route incoming phone calls and inquiries, respond to questions, and collect and distribute mail

    Prepare and distribute printed and electronic materials in a timely manner, including the weekly e-newsletter

    Maintain membership and mailing lists through updates of databases (Mailchimp and Breeze), ensuring accuracy of information

    Manage congregational mailings and other mail merges, including pledge drive activities

    Maintain electronic church calendar

    Order office and church supplies as needed

    Manage copier/printer and be point of contact for needed repairs

    Coordinate with the Communications Committee to ensure that relevant congregational news and events are shared

    Act as a point of contact for and manage facility rentals

    Skills

    Experience as an office assistant, or other relevant administrative role

    Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Office Suite (Google Docs and Google Sheets), and Mailchimp

    Solid clerical skills, including typing, filing, collating, and using phone systems

    Supervisor: Lead Minister

    Start Date: As soon as possible
