Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office/Curriculum Assistant to support the educational and administrative functions of our school. This role will involve a blend of office management tasks and curriculum support, ensuring a seamless flow of communication and resources for teachers, students, and staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a passion for education.
Key Responsibilities:
Office Management:
- Assist in the daily administrative operations of the office, including managing phone calls, and correspondence.
- Maintain organized filing systems and ensure that all documentation is accurately processed and stored.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and events, preparing necessary materials and agendas.
- Manage inventory of office supplies and educational materials, placing orders as needed.
- Support data entry and record-keeping efforts, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Curriculum Support:
- Collaborate with educators to develop, modify, and implement curriculum materials and resources.
- Prepare and distribute educational materials, such as lesson plans, handouts, and assessments.
- Assist in organizing and coordinating educational events, workshops, and training sessions.
- Help track student progress and assessments, maintaining up-to-date records.
- Participate in curriculum development initiatives, providing input and feedback based on classroom experiences.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Serve as a liaison between teachers, students, and parents, addressing inquiries and providing support as needed.
- Facilitate communication between various departments to enhance collaboration and teamwork.
- Contribute to a positive and welcoming office environment for all staff and visitors.
Qualifications:
- Child Development Associates (CDA),Associate's or bachelor's degree in education, administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within an educational setting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with educational technology tools.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Working Conditions:
- This position is typically office-based, with occasional classroom support requirements.
- May require occasional evening or weekend hours for educational events and meetings.
