Office Engineer – Transportation & Infrastructure Position Summary: Redwood Resources is seeking a highly organized Office Engineer to support complex public agency projects involving transportation, infrastructure, community engagement, and DBE/SBE compliance. This position serves as a central point of coordination between project management, contractors, clients, and field teams to ensure accurate documentation, timely processing of project information, and compliance with agency requirements. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: • Maintain accurate, organized project files including contracts, submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, change orders, pay applications, and schedules. • Track contract compliance, including DBE/SBE participation, labor compliance, and agency reporting requirements. • Support the preparation and submission of agency-required reports, certifications, and audit documentation. • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and agency staff to resolve documentation or compliance issues promptly. • Monitor and track project schedules, assist with schedule updates, and provide status reporting. • Facilitate communication across the field, office, and client teams to ensure the timely resolution of outstanding issues. • Support invoice review, cost tracking, and budget monitoring under the direction of the Project Manager. • Prepare agendas, record meeting minutes, and track action items from project meetings. • Use project management systems (e.g., Procore, e-Builder, Unifier, Primavera, Asana) to maintain accurate, real-time documentation and workflow tracking. Qualifications: • 2–5 years of experience as an Office Engineer, Project Coordinator, Document Control Specialist, or similar role. • Strong knowledge of public agency contracting procedures (transportation, infrastructure, and public works preferred). • Familiarity with DBE/SBE compliance tracking and reporting. • Proficiency with project management software (Procore, e-Builder, Unifier, Primavera, or similar). • Advanced Excel, Word, and document formatting skills. • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Experience working with public sector clients (e.g., transportation agencies, municipalities) strongly preferred. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience supporting federally funded projects (FTA, FHWA, FAA). • Familiarity with DBE/SBE program requirements. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field preferred. Compensation: Salary range: $65,000–$85,000 (or $32–$45/hr depending on candidate experience and contract type). Full-time. Compensation: $32 - $45 hourly
