Summary – Office Manager – Manufacturing
Are you a highly organized, proactive professional looking to bring your skills to a small, yet long-standing manufacturing shop in Kansas City? We’re seeking dependable and detail-oriented Office Managers to support daily operations at the facility. This is a full-time, on-site role in a collaborative and friendly environment.
As the Office Manager, you’ll be the backbone of the administrative operations. You’ll manage a variety of tasks that keep our manufacturing shop running smoothly — from answering phones and preparing purchase orders, to ordering materials, providing customer service, and coordinating shipping.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and thrives in a hands-on, manufacturing office setting.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
Responsibility Summary – Office Manager – Manufacturing
- Answer incoming phone calls and emails with professionalism and efficiency
- Create and manage purchase orders and track inventory needs
- Order materials and supplies for production jobs
- Generate and send quotes for parts manufacturing to customers
- Coordinate shipments and prepare shipping labels and documentation
- Maintain accurate records and assist with general administrative tasks
- Communicate with customers and vendors to ensure timely updates and follow-ups
Qualification Summary – Office Manager – Manufacturing
- Proven experience in an office management or administrative assistant role (experience in manufacturing or production environments preferred)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfortable with office software
- Preferred experience with JobBOSS and/or a like software system (ERP, SAP, etc.)
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Familiarity with creating purchase orders, job material planning, or shipping logistics is a plus
