    What Type of Work Would You Be Completing?

    The Human Resource Specialist is responsible for the administration of HR policies and procedures. This position will support a broad range of human resource activities including recruitment and selection, onboarding, compliance and safety training, employee engagement, performance management, and maintenance of confidential personnel files. This position requires a high level of professionalism, initiative, and discretion. This is a full time position.

    Specific tasks include the following:

    Perform ongoing recruiting functions to engage the best possible candidates.

    Perform employee interviews and select candidates for hire.

    Conduct both in-office and out-of-office orientations for new hires to clearly communicate company policies and procedures as stated in the Employee Handbook.

    Conduct performance appraisals, disciplinary meetings and exit interviews, as necessary.

    Investigate, document and resolve employee grievances or complaints.

    Investigate and document work-related injuries and ensure the necessary forms and follow-up procedures are completed

    Develop and conduct ongoing training for employees to include changing state and federal requirements and industry standards.

    Maintain a current knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day HR management and ensure compliance with Federal and State laws, updating the company’s handbook policies as appropriate.

    Recommend organizational development programs and initiatives that complement the strategic business objectives of Office Pride.

    Develop and update job descriptions.

    Ensure compliance with employment laws and suggest organizational improvements where necessary.

    Are You the Right Candidate?

    The HR Recruiter must possess the following qualifications:

    Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.

    Active understanding of and participation in supporting the Company’s vision, mission, goals and values. Ability to support these ideals during all work related interactions.

    Bachelor of Science degree in human resources, business or a related field.

    Minimum of 1 year of experience in human resource management.

    Education and work history that demonstrate work ethic and responsibility.

    Detail oriented, consistently maintaining a high level of professionalism.

    Reliable. Must possess the ability to adhere to Company policies on a timely and consistent basis.

    Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively.

    Clearly and effectively communicate with employees to motivate, consult and coach.

    Strong knowledge of local, state and federal labor laws.

    Valid driver’s license.

    Ability to occasionally travel overnight, as dictated by business needs.
