Job Summary
The Operations Support Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, supervision, and smooth daily flow of the School. This position focuses primarily on managing all child transitions (80%)—including classroom-to-playground movements, activity changes, and safety routines—to maintain a secure, efficient learning environment. Additionally, this role provides instructional and administrative support (20%) to teachers and leadership, assisting with foundational lesson planning, proof of learning displays, and providing opening/closing coverage when administrators are out. This is a hands-on, highly visible role that ensures our children are supervised consistently, our teachers are supported, and our school operations run smoothly.

Primary Responsibilities (80% – Transitions & Safety Oversight)
Transition & Supervision Leadership
Monitor and oversee every child transition in the building (classroom → playground, classrooms → enrichment, activity changes, etc.) to ensure safety and compliance.
Ensure name-to-face counts are executed with fidelity and immediately recorded in the parent communication app.
Reinforce proper zoning and active supervision practices during outdoor play and indoor movements.
Give timely, constructive feedback to staff regarding transition quality, safety, supervision, and child engagement.
Partner with teachers to create smooth, child-centric transition routines that reduce downtime and maintain classroom order.
Provide redirection and guidance to children during transitions to support safe and appropriate behavior.
Safety & Compliance Monitoring
Conduct frequent classroom and playground sweeps to ensure no child is ever left unsupervised.
Perform daily safety checks, including playground inspections, interior walk-throughs, and identifying hazards.
Complete the facilities audit checklist and ensure ongoing compliance with state licensing standards and Celebree brand standards.
Execute sleep checks during naptime, ensuring correct spacing, sleep positions, and continuous supervision.
Provide factual, timely documentation in the event of an incident or emergency.
Communication & Team Support
Keep all team members informed of supervision expectations, school-wide procedures, and any needed improvements.
Help maintain accurate and consistent information in the parent communication app.
Serve as an approachable, professional role model for teachers, children, and families.
Secondary Responsibilities (20% – Instructional & Administrative Support)
Teacher & Classroom Support
Assist teachers with initial-level lesson planning, ensuring alignment with curriculum expectations.
Support classrooms in preparing and maintaining proof of learning displays, documentation boards, and activity materials.
Assist in organizing materials for transitions between activities (e.g., centers, enrichment, meals, rest time).
Provide classroom coverage or support during high-traffic transition windows as needed.
Administrative Backup
Serve as the backup opening/closing administrator when leadership team members are on PTO.
Support basic operational tasks during open/close, including building readiness, safety checks, communication setup, and transition coordination.
Professional Development
Participate in all required safety, supervision, licensing, and curriculum-related training sessions.
Offer input and observations to the administrative team regarding operational opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
Previous experience in early childhood education or childcare operations preferred.
Strong understanding of supervision, child development, and safety best practices.
Ability to stay calm, organized, and proactive in a fast-paced environment.
Clear communication skills and ability to provide feedback professionally.

Physical Requirements
Ability to walk, stand, and conduct transition sweeps throughout the day.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and respond quickly in emergency situations.
