Job Description

Seeking a strong Medical Assistant for an opportunity to work in an Internal Medicine Department located in the Laguna Hills, CA area. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.

DUTIES:

• Preparing patients for exams
• Obtaining patient vitals signs and documenting all data accurately in the Electronic medical Records (EMR) NextGen 
• Retrieve patient phone calls and communicate to the physician the patients request or concerns in the EMR system.
• Administering injections
• Authorizations
• Provide excellent patient care and have the ability to multi-task.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2-3 years experience as a Medical Assistant in GI Specialty
• Must know how to administer injections
• Ability to accurately perform medical assisting procedures, obtain and document accurate patient vitals signs in the EMR system, knowledge and skills regarding medication and injection dosages and administration under licensed supervision.
• Must demonstrate compliance with HIPPA
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, management, patients and co-workers
• NextGen EMR experience plus or MUST have EMR experience
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program

DETAILS:

• Pay range: Depending on experience
• Attire: Black Scrubs
• Hours Monday  thru Friday 8 am - 5 pm
• Desired Start Date: ASAP
• Location:  Laguna Hills, CA
