The Preadmission Specialist is responsible for reviewing and confirming insurance eligibility, obtaining certifications (1147) and authorizations, and maintaining patient daily status changes to ensure appropriate billing.

The Preadmission Specialist must have an associate degree or a combination of education and experience in a healthcare related field. Candidate must have one year experience in a healthcare billing office preferred, insurance coverage verifications and Peachtree a plus. Knowledge of basic computer skills, good verbal and written skills to communicate with staff, residents, caregivers and customers. Must have good organizational skills and be able to prioritize assignments in order of importance.
