Our mission at H2O Church centers on a strategic crossroads unlike any other: The Ohio State University. Home to over 66,000 students, OSU functions as a massive, self-contained city—the eighth-largest in Ohio—serving as a global hub for 47,000 undergraduates from every corner of the world. Each fall, 10,000 new students arrive at this pivotal threshold of life, a time when they are actively seeking their identity and wrestling with the world's biggest questions. This demographic represents what David Platt calls "the most reachable and sendable population in the world." We are standing in a field of 10,000 fresh opportunities every year to reach those who have never heard the Good News, while simultaneously providing a vital spiritual home for the 70% of churched students at risk of walking away from their faith. By cultivating a Christlike community here, we aren't just reaching a campus; we are equipping a generation of disciples to carry the Kingdom of God wherever they go!

The need for the Gospel at Ohio State is staggering, and H2O Church exists to meet that need by cultivating a Christlike community, at OSU, to grow His Kingdom wherever we go. Over the last 17 years, we have seen God move in ways only He can: through the waters of 500 baptisms , the hands of nearly 1,000 students sent on domestic and international missions , and the hearts of over 100 alumni who have entered full-time vocational ministry. While we have reached an estimated 5,600 students through our services, the campus remains a vast and ripening mission field. The harvest is truly plentiful, and we invite you to join us in this vital work of reaching the next generation for Christ.

We invite you to step directly into this mission through two distinct pathways designed to shape your future and God's Kingdom. Our one-year internship —offered both part-time and full-time—is a transformative experience focused on theological training, hands-on missional engagement, and intentional mentorship, all aimed at equipping you to live out the Great Commission for a lifetime. For those called to a career in ministry, our full-time staff positions offer a professional pathway to master the complexities of running and planting a church. The need is immediate and the potential for impact is great. We are specifically praying for three new interns to join the team, a visionary leader to serve as our Worship Director , and a career-minded woman missionary ready to invest in the next generation of leaders. Whether you are looking for a foundational year of growth or a lifelong calling, joining H2O means gaining the tools, community, and training necessary to make a lasting impact on the campus and beyond.
