    The Ohnstad Twichell summer associate program is looking for the best second-year law students hoping to live and work in Fargo after law school. A primary goal of our summer program is to provide summer associates with an accurate picture of life as an associate at Ohnstad Twichell. Ohnstad Twichell attorneys practice in a variety of areas of the law, including commercial litigation, estate planning, municipal law, bonding, real estate law, corporate law, family law, probate litigation, energy law, and criminal law, amongst others.

    Our summer associate program is a perfect mix of learning and doing. You will receive real-world, practical experience through participation in client meetings, drafting memoranda, supporting attorneys with research projects, attending court proceedings, board meetings, closings, and so much more. This paid position will allow you to explore different practice areas and discover your passion.

    In addition to working with partners and associates in the firm's many practice areas, each summer associate will work with designated mentors. These mentors will be your “go-to” for everything from how to address a particular situation at the office to navigating the local community. Your time as a summer associate will include both formal and informal mentoring, feedback, and learning opportunities. Applicants should be second-year law students with a strong interest in living and working in the Fargo metro area after law school. Applicants should have a grade point average of 3.15 or higher. Applicants must submit a cover letter, writing sample, resume, and law school transcript.
