Verdanterra is hiring an Oil and Gas Engineering Manager to lead civil engineering delivery for energy infrastructure projects across the Marcellus/Utica region. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can balance technical oversight, team development, and fast-moving project execution - from early design through construction support.

    What This Role Owns
    • Lead and mentor a team of civil engineers and technicians delivering site and infrastructure designs (well pads, pipelines, access roads, and facility sites).

    • Oversee schedules, budgets, staffing, and technical quality across multiple active projects.

    • Partner with environmental, survey, and project management teams to produce permit-ready, buildable plans.

    • Ensure designs align with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental best practices.

    • Support client relationships, resolve technical issues quickly, and keep projects moving in the field.

    • Prepare scope and fee proposals and manage risk (scope changes, delays, cost exposure).

    What Makes Someone Successful Here
    • Strong ownership mindset - able to drive execution without constant oversight.

    • Comfortable leading multiple projects and priorities at once.

    • Clear communicator who can manage stakeholders and develop team members.

    • Practical design approach grounded in constructability and field realities.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or similar.

    • 7+ years of civil engineering experience, ideally tied to oil and gas or comparable infrastructure.

    • 3+ years leading teams and managing project delivery.

    • Experience with civil design tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS (or similar).

    • Strong understanding of permitting and compliance for energy infrastructure projects.

    • PE license preferred.

    Why Verdanterra
    • High-impact energy infrastructure work across PA, WV, and OH.

    • Leadership role with real influence over standards, delivery rhythm, and team development.

    • Integrated project environment with close coordination across engineering, environmental, and field teams.
