  • Responsibilities

    The North Central Council of Governments is seeking a Solutions Analyst - Applications to become an integral part of its Workforce Development team. 

    Responsibilities include: 

    • Functioning as the primary developer of customized Laserfiche (Document Management System) applications.
    • Acting as a consultant and business analyst to help customers find solutions for their business needs. Work with customers to identify their business needs, document functional requirements, and implement solutions using applicable system(s).
    • Training and supporting system users, identify and implement new and modified business needs that can be best addressed using applicable system(s) and creates training materials and documentation that explains the functionality of the system and how to use it.
    • Serving as primary or secondary support person to respond to help desk tickets for applicable system(s). Troubleshoot and resolve system related issues. Coordinate with 3rd party vendor(s) to perform work and resolve incidents.
    • Assisting the supervisor by serving as Security Administrator or System Administrator in the absence of the supervisor; maintaining staff access and passwords; and maintaining a working relationship with other agencies and departments.
    • Performing trend and program performance data analysis by providing data analysis and report interpretation for internal and external customers; developing and creating data collection instruments, spreadsheets, and documents for specified criteria; performing queries to generate reports used for management and planning; assimilating, interpreting, analyzing and evaluating statistical information; compiling data from reports and exporting data into spreadsheets or documents for analysis and interpretation.
    • Assisting in the coordination and oversight of the operations and administration of the automated data collecting and reporting systems by performing trend and program performance data analysis; assisting the supervisor in managing and coordinating data gathering and automation systems; and supporting automated data collecting and reporting systems.

    Required Experience

    Bachelor’s Degree and 2-5 years related work experience. 

    Preferred Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field
    • 2 years or more of Visual Basic, HTML, SQL syntax, JavaScript, JQuery, or CSS experience
    • 2 years or more of Laserfiche development and Laserfiche security architecture experience
    • 2 years or more of Laserfiche development and Laserfiche security architecture experience
    • 3 years or more of relational database experience (SQL Server)
    • 3 years of advanced Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel experience
