    Job Description

    CALL CENTER ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT

    The Oklahoma Student Loan Authority (OSLA) is seeking applicants for the newly created Assistant Vice President of Loan Management position. OSLA is a rapidly growing call center which successfully services student loans as a contractor for Federal Student Aid (FSA).

    Oversees and leads the effective operations of the Loan Management Department (LMD). Uses experience gained managing an experienced call center to introduce and improve technology, processes, staffing, training and productivity. Demonstrates advanced level knowledge of business operations and systems. Audits the customer experience and works with the team to improve satisfaction and outcomes. Interacts effectively with all employee levels. Meets deadlines and performs well under pressure.

    This role begins as a provisional assistant vice president during a 90-day training period, and will have opportunity for promotion to Assistant Vice President Loan Management upon the successful completion of training. 

    Pay range begins at $78,500, to be determined commensurate with experience.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Employees are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 except for legally entitled accommodation.
    • Obtains/maintains a 6C high level security clearance as required of federal government contractors which includes a background check conducted by the U.S. Government to determine eligibility and suitability.
    • REQUIRES A BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN BUSINESS AND/OR 10 YEARS’ WORK EXPERIENCE matching job requirements.
    • MINIMUM OF THREE YEARS’ experience managing in a call center setting, supervising employees and assisting with project management.
    • PREFERS THREE TO FIVE YEARS’ experience in an education loan servicing environment, with a financial institution, secondary market, loan guarantee agency or educational institution.
    • Utilizes customer service software and reporting processes.
    • Demonstrates effective oral and written communication, decision-making, leadership, planning analytical and logical thinking.
    • Proficient in MS Office suite.
    • Occasional travel within and outside the state.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Works with the LMD Vice President to implement changes related to governmental regulations and technical procedures.
    • Collaborates with LMD VP to research, formulate, implement and monitor policies and procedures.
    • Formulates and launches improvements with staffing, performance, strategic planning, cost containment, information analyses, and productivity.
    • With the leaders, recruits, hires, trains, delegates, coaches, provides feedback, communicates corrective action, disciplines, rewards and promotes.
    • Manages and completes the FSA Change Request projects.
    • Develops reports and fulfills requests from industry partners.
    • Maintains compliance by researching and interpreting rules and regulations.
