We are currently looking for LVTs to join our amazing team! Old Bridge is a privately owned small animal hospital that has been serving the Woodbridge area for over 30 years. We offer wellness exams, routine vaccines, surgery, digital radiology, mobile ultrasound, in house and reference laboratory diagnostics, as well as boarding and grooming.

Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service
Educate clients on pet wellness, vaccine requirements, and other information as necessary
Collect, prepare and handle specimens; administer intravenous fluid therapy and monitor vital signs
Record patient medical history
Maintain patient invoices
Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments, as prescribed by the veterinarian
Fill prescriptions
Help other team members with animal health care needs and cleaning/sanitation of the hospital and equipment
Follow up phone calls on patients
Adapt and prioritize various duties in a very dynamic and fast-paced working environment
Prepare animals for surgery, performing such tasks as shaving surgical areas and placing IV catheters
Administer anesthesia to animals under the direction of the veterinarian and monitors animals’ responses to anesthetics
Administer emergency first aid, such as performing emergency resuscitation or other life-saving procedures
Commitment to doing the best job possible at all times and under all circumstances
Physical Requirements & Skills
Maintain punctual attendance
Ability to lift 50lbs
Standing, walking, and moving for prolonged periods of time
Restrain animals in a safe, efficient and compassionate manner during examinations and procedures
Ability to effectively handle and control aggressive animals
Phlebotomy
IV catheter placement
Digital radiology
