    As part of our continued growth and commitment to excellence, we are seeking a talented Electronic Payments Channel Product Owner to join our team.

    We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Electronic Payments Channel Product Owner to lead the development and optimization of electronic payment channels for our digital-first bank. This role will be pivotal in ensuring seamless payment flows, meeting customer transaction volume demands, regulatory reporting, and working with fraud teams to mitigate risk. This is a dynamic role encompassing implementing strategy to executing the daily tactics support the strategy. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various departments to drive initiatives aimed at enhancing payment channel capabilities, lead the initiatives to build the frameworks needed, while also implementing and leveraging monitoring tools and producing comprehensive volume reports for ACH and wire channels. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying customer needs and recommending innovative solutions, from proof of concept (POC) development to ongoing management of existing channels.

    Responsibilities :

    • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for electronic payment channels aligned with the bank's digital-first approach and customer needs.
    • Channel Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize electronic payment channels to ensure seamless transaction flows, minimal disruptions, and maximum efficiency. Ensure daily file processes are successfully completed daily. Communicating notice of change (NOC) to all originators.
    • Fraud Mitigation: Collaborate with security and risk management teams to implement robust fraud detection and prevention measures across payment channels, ensuring the safety and security of customer transactions.
    • Volume Reporting: Utilize monitoring tools to generate comprehensive volume reports for ACH and wire channels, providing insights into transaction trends, performance metrics, and areas for improvement. Maintain return risk rates and charges.
    • Customer Needs Assessment: Work closely with business developers and customer-facing teams to identify evolving payment channel needs and preferences among customers, translating findings into actionable recommendations. Lead the identification and POCs for new payment channels, assessing feasibility, scalability, and alignment with business objectives. Work closely with identifying and approving volume through channels from both a risk and a need perspective.
    • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including technology, operations, compliance, and marketing, to ensure alignment and successful implementation of payment channel initiatives.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of regulatory, internal, external audit, and NACHA requirements and industry standards related to electronic payments, ensuring compliance and adherence to best practices. Acquire and retain a current AAP certification.
    • Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for electronic payment channels, proactively addressing issues and implementing corrective actions to maintain optimal performance. Monitor for successful payment processing and escalating file failures in a timely manner.
    • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met and addressing any issues or escalations in a timely manner.

    Experience/Skills

    • Strong understanding of electronic payment systems, including ACH, wire transfers, and emerging payment technologies.
    • Familiarity with fraud detection and prevention techniques, as well as regulatory requirements related to electronic payments.
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and drive data-driven decisions.
    • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
    • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a proactive and results-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
    • Proficiency in using monitoring tools and analytics platforms to track and analyze payment channel performance.

    Education :

    • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, computer science, or related field; master's degree preferred.
